also, if you have Adobe Acrobat Full Version (not only the reader), you can
download the free tool "Paper Capture" which converts the image-based PDF
into a searchable text-based PDF. It works very well and I use it a lot.

Subject: PIUG question- Searchable PDFS of patents?

Hi all,

I've searched the archives and found my question - but no answer. Do you
know of any vendor that provides searchable PDF versions of patents (US at
least) ? I know you can order searchable file histories from most, but none
I've seen offer patents alone in that format (Micropat offers the
downloadable text version which works fine, but not if you want the images).

Maybe this info is out there, and my cold medicine is just making me
overlook it... any suggestions?
